Terms of Service

The rules for using Serenity, the responsibilities of users and server administrators, and how to get help.

Effective 7 October 2026 · Last updated 7 October 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Serenity, an independently operated Discord bot, its commands, interactive controls, and related support services. “Serenity,” “we,” “us,” and “the operator” refer to the person or team operating Serenity, reachable at niftyserenitybusiness@gmail.com. “You” means an individual using Serenity or a person adding or configuring it for a Discord server.

By using Serenity after having the opportunity to read these terms, you agree to them to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using the bot. Server administrators can remove it from their servers. These terms do not replace Discord’s own terms or your server’s rules. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled; it is a notice about processing, not blanket consent to every use of data.

Serenity is not owned by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official service of Discord Inc.

2. Eligibility and age restrictions

You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required by Discord or the laws where you live. You must be entitled to use your Discord account. If you cannot enter into these terms on your own under applicable law, your parent or guardian must authorize your use where legally required.

You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service, Discord Community Guidelines, applicable law, and the rules of the server where you use Serenity. Any adult-only feature or content may be used only by people aged 18 or older, or the higher age required locally, in appropriately age-restricted spaces and subject to Discord’s restrictions. A bot setting does not override Discord’s age requirements.

3. What Serenity provides

Depending on server configuration, permissions, availability, and access restrictions, Serenity provides moderation and security tools, onboarding and roles, server setup, event and message logging, message reports, support tickets, reminders and timers, language and display preferences, entertainment, virtual economy and progression, polls, birthdays, diary entries, image utilities, and feedback forms.

Features can vary between servers and users. Some work only in servers; others support direct messages. Commands may have permission checks, cooldowns, limits, confirmation prompts, or premium access requirements. The exact feedback command is ;provide feedback; it opens a form for suggestions about additions or changes.

Serenity is not an emergency service, a substitute for human moderation, or a provider of professional legal, medical, financial, or security advice. Automated moderation and protective actions can fail or produce incorrect results. Server staff remain responsible for reviewing their configuration and decisions.

4. Installation, permissions, and server administration

Only add or configure Serenity when you have authority to do so. Grant only the Discord permissions needed for the features you intend to use. Review command descriptions and confirmation prompts before actions that change channels, roles, member access, messages, or server settings.

Server administrators are responsible for their server rules, informing members about enabled logging and moderation, configuring appropriate access to staff channels and tickets, and using the bot lawfully. A configured destination channel can make information visible to everyone who can read that channel. Staff should not configure private reports or sensitive support discussions in publicly visible destinations.

Removing Serenity or disabling a feature stops relevant future access or activity, subject to Discord’s behavior and previously scheduled work. It does not automatically erase stored records or messages already posted to Discord. See the Privacy Policy for deletion requests.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Serenity to:

  • Harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate, dox, exploit, or harm another person.
  • Distribute unlawful material, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, malware, scams, or content prohibited by Discord.
  • Spam commands, abuse support or feedback forms, evade cooldowns or access restrictions, or intentionally disrupt Serenity or Discord.
  • Access another person’s data without authorization, bypass Discord permissions, compromise credentials, or exploit a vulnerability to gain an unfair advantage.
  • Submit intentionally false reports, manipulate moderation evidence, or use administrative commands outside your authority.
  • Buy, sell, redeem, or wager Serenity’s virtual currency for real money, or use the bot for illegal gambling or financial transactions.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to share or request that the operator handle sensitive information unnecessarily.

Do not submit passwords, authentication tokens, recovery codes, payment-card details, government identity documents, health records, or other sensitive personal information through commands, diary entries, tickets, reports, or feedback.

If you discover a vulnerability, report it privately to niftyserenitybusiness@gmail.com. Do not access other users’ data, publish credentials, or continue exploiting the issue.

6. Your content and feedback

You retain the rights you have in the messages, suggestions, images, and other content you submit. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit that content and for respecting the privacy of others.

You allow the operator to process, store, reproduce, and display submitted content only as reasonably needed to deliver the feature you requested, provide support, investigate abuse, and meet lawful obligations, consistent with the Privacy Policy. For example, a message report preserves evidence for review, and an image command returns a processed image through Discord. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content.

You permit us to consider and implement ideas you voluntarily send as feedback without an obligation to pay you, credit you, or implement the idea. Feedback does not create a confidential business relationship. Your personal data remains subject to the Privacy Policy, and the operator will not publish identifying details merely because you submitted feedback.

Diary entries and feedback are accessible to the operator. Tickets and reports may be accessible to authorized server staff. Avoid submitting information you would not want the relevant operator or staff to access.

7. Virtual economy, games, and progression

Serenity’s balances, coins, bank funds, inventories, virtual businesses, virtual stocks, levels, rewards, and game wagers are entertainment records. They are not money, securities, deposits, investments, or property redeemable for cash. They have no guaranteed real-world value.

Chance-based games use virtual resources only. You must not arrange real-money stakes, payouts, trades, or off-platform redemption around them. Game outcomes, reward rules, balances, and progression can change or be reset to correct errors, address abuse, or maintain the service. No return, profit, reward, or preservation of progress is guaranteed.

8. Premium access and possible paid offerings

Premium access may be granted by the operator and may have an expiry date or apply to a user or server. A grant does not by itself mean a purchase or subscription exists. These terms do not establish a price, recurring charge, purchase obligation, or non-refundable payment.

If Serenity offers a paid product in the future, the checkout must separately explain its price, currency, benefits, duration, renewal behavior, cancellation method, and applicable refund terms before purchase. Mandatory consumer rights always apply. Payments made through Discord or an external payment provider are also subject to the relevant provider’s terms. Do not send payment credentials to the bot or through support messages.

Opening a checkout link or reaching a success page is not, by itself, proof of payment or entitlement. Payment disputes should be raised through the relevant purchase channel and with the operator.

9. Availability, changes, and suspension

We may update, limit, temporarily disable, or discontinue features to maintain the service, address abuse, comply with law or Discord requirements, or handle technical limitations. Availability depends on hosting, internet connectivity, Discord, permissions, and third-party services. We do not promise continuous uptime, delivery of every reminder, or recovery of lost content.

We may restrict access for violations of these terms, security risks, misuse, or requirements imposed by Discord or law. Restrictions may affect a user, server, or feature. Where practical and appropriate, the operator will explain a restriction and review a reasonable appeal sent through the contact methods below. Nothing here removes statutory rights relating to a paid service.

You can stop using Serenity at any time. Server administrators can remove it. Stopping use does not automatically delete historic information; you can request deletion under the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Serenity is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it will be error-free, fit for every purpose, or uninterrupted. You should independently check automated results and maintain any backups you need for your own important content.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of anticipated profits, or losses caused by unauthorized use, incorrect server configuration, Discord outages, or events outside the operator’s reasonable control. This section does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer protections, fraud, or any other non-excludable responsibility. It does not excuse the operator from legal data-protection duties.

11. Concerns and disputes

Please contact the operator first to explain a concern and the resolution you seek. We will consider reasonable requests in good faith. Your legal rights, rights to complain to a regulator, and rights to use courts or other remedies available under applicable law remain intact. These terms do not require binding arbitration or waive participation in a legal claim.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. These terms do not restrict protections that apply mandatorily in your place of residence.

12. Updates to these terms

We may revise these terms as Serenity changes. The current version and its effective date will be published on this page. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate bot or support notice where reasonably practical. Changes do not retroactively remove rights or authorize processing that requires separate consent. If you do not accept revised terms, stop using Serenity.

13. Contact and reporting problems

Operator: the Serenity bot operator, reachable using the following public contacts.

Report misuse of Serenity to the operator. Report Discord-wide safety issues through Discord’s own reporting tools as appropriate. Do not post private evidence or sensitive personal information in public support channels.
